French property for sale (Frankrijk Huis)
If you are looking to buy a property in France, you may want to check out French Property for Sale - France. This site only began advertising property in 2006, but in less that a year has become one of the top 10 sites, both in terms of the number of properties advertised and in terms of its position in the major search engines.
Both visitors and search engines appear to be attracted by two things. First of all, a wide selection of property in all regions of France, from farmhouses to castles. Secondly, a focus on providing as much information as possible on a range of practical topics (e.g. tax and legal considerations) and on general interest topics (e.g. French food – history, culture and recipes).
This site translates all properties into 7 languages, with a separate section for each language. For example, Frankrijk Huis Kopen is the Dutch section, with all the properties advertised only in Dutch and also information in Dutch (e.g. over 100 maps of France, with Dutch explanations. Similarly, Immobilien in Frankreich is the German section; and so on for the various languages. This means that estate agents get exposure in all the major languages for purchasers of property in France (or Frankrijk Huis or Immobilier Frankreich, etc.).
Aside from the property sections, the most popular area on the site is the converters section. This includes metric converters, clothing and shoe size converters, currency converters, dog and cat year converters; even orange and apple converters (check it out!). The newsletter, discussion board and blogger are all used to provide flexible communications between site visitors and with the site authors. Finally, there is an effort to add something new every week, to make return visits worthwhile.
In addition to this site, there are of course many other worthwhile and interesting sites on France. However, this is perhaps the most interesting and fasting growing one to be introduced in the year 2006. I hope you find it interesting.
